Job Description

This post is fixed term until December 2017.

The post holder will be a key member of the Working4U Management team with direct line management responsibilities and a key role in shaping the Working4U strategy of the Council ensuring delivery of high quality integrated and specialist customer service in the areas
of:
  • Work including National Training programmes, European funded Employability Programmes and wider externally funded employment and training initiatives.
  • Learning including adult learning and community literacies, digital literacies, and youth services.
  • Money including welfare benefits advice and assistance, money advice and financial education and effective responses to welfare reform.

    The job holder will be a key officer in the day to day management and operational delivery of Working4U Services.

    Adult Services Section

    Is responsible for the day to day management and operational delivery of designated elements Adult Learning and Literacies, Adult Employability and Financial Inclusion Services.

    Youth Services Section

    Is responsible for the day to day management and operational delivery of designated elements of Youth Employability and Literacies, Youth Learning and Skills, Compliance and Development.



    Requirements

    The preferred applicant will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

    Responsibilities

    The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
