My client is a global-leading organisation operating within the electrical compliance sector providing services to numerous portfolios, inclusive of world recognisable brands, blue chip offices and clientele along with cross service properties. helping to ensure compliance, improve safety and boost performance by completing examinations of electrical installations to the latest standards.

Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit a highly qualified and Crane surveyor to undertake works on a mobile basis predominately based within the Chester area however travel outside of this area may be required, operating within a commercial capacity on a range of Crane equipment. The main duties would be:

* To safely carry out high quality examinations and professional inspections of various lifting equipment (MEWPS, HIAB, Cranes, FLTs) to ensure that all are compliant with current regulatory and statutory requirements (LOLER & PUWER)
*Utilising your previous experience within the Crane engineering experience to diagnose if any elements are unsafe, and if so how they can be rectified.
Candidate requirements include:
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical discipline - Mechanical / maintenance engineer, manufacturing engineer OR Equivalent (ONC, BTEG, City and guilds level 3)
* OR HNC or Higher within a Mechanical discipline
* Minimum three to five years' relevant industry experience - Minimum 5 years on an NVQ or equiv, or minimum 3 years post qualification experience on an HNC qualification.
* Current UK driving licence

Due to the nature of the role you would require proven technical knowledge of lifting / crane equipment, along with 3 - 5 years post qualification experience working with Cranes, Lifting equipment, Material Handling equipment, Mobile platforms, Scissor lifts etc.

* Comfortable operating independently with individual responsibility for allocated inspection activities, and as part of a team when needed
* Excellent customer service manner, with strong communications and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build lasting relationships with clients
