Senior Reservoir Engineer
The Oil and Gas Authority’s (OGA’s) role is to regulate, influence and promote the UK oil and gas industry in order to achieve our statutory principal objective of maximising the economic recovery of the UK’s oil and gas resources. Established in April 2015 as an executive agency of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, on 1 October 2016 the OGA was incorporated as a Government Company, with the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy the sole shareholder. The OGA is largely funded by an industry levy introduced on 1 October 2015.
Senior Reservoir Engineer (Ref.OGA023)
£67,904 per annum plus £5,000 allowance and benefits
The Senior Reservoir Engineer position will be responsible for developing best practice performance insights across existing producing fields and new and on-going field developments. The role will also have primary responsibility for delivery of the EOR strategy designed to deliver up to 250 mmboe of additional reserves which will require effective collaboration with Operators to promote, support and implement best practice. In addition the role provides an excellent opportunity to collaborate with the Area teams in OGA to address field development and performance issues across the wide range of reservoir contexts found in UKCS through all phases of hydrocarbon maturation from pre-development to cessation of production.
