As an IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be working with a forward thinking company who have recently went through a significant period of change to ensure they are ahead of the new digital age. With the responsibility of ensuring the infrastructure meets the needs of staff and customers, you will be an enthusiastic individual who proactively looks to improve and develop current procedures and staff.

The successful applicant will have experience of running data centres and associated IT Infrastructure, and also of designing and planning infrastructure changes over short to long term to meet the changing needs of the business. You will also have experience in:

-Procurement, tender, contract, and supplier management.
-Knowledge of SLA's and KPI's.
-Strategic planning and project management.
-Good understanding of ITIL framework.
-Budget management and procurement skills.
-Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff at appropriate levels
-Ability to prioritise and manage varied workloads against agreed deadlines

In addition candidates who have in-depth knowledge of WAN, LAN, WLAN network infrastructures, SQL Server Databases and knowledge of Data Protection Act and IT Governance and Policy would be especially advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Overall management and responsibility for the IT infrastructure and systems architecture that makes up the organisations IT Infrastructure. This consists of multiple data centres, LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, storage, servers, telephony, Microsoft enterprise applications and infrastructure, and printers.
-Management of IT Infrastructure staff, including their personal development. Make use of staff rotas and schedules as appropriate
-Develop and deliver short, medium, and long term plans for the development of IT Infrastructure within the business
-Develop procedures and policies for the management and governance of IT Infrastructure deliverables in collaboration with the Head of Digital.
-Responsible for annual budget for IT commitments, contracts and procurement and be the authority to procure IT goods and services
-Manage backup and recovery approaches, and formulate and follow policies for business continuity, disaster recovery and mitigation of risks.
-Ensure routine and preventative maintenance is undertaken, ensuring systems and software are patched and up to date.
-Collaborate, support and provide assistance with partners in shared services to achieve agreed objectives and goals.
-Contract management, including hardware and software maintenance agreements, by engaging with external support companies to ensure contract terms are adhered to.
-Maintain data and functional integrity of IT Infrastructure systems.
-Prepare training schedules for IT Infrastructure staff to ensure currency within their particular roles.
