What you’ll do

As Risk & Reporting Specialist, you will work with our operational teams to ensure the highest levels of risk mitigation and to maximise business performance, ensuring that we continuously improve all aspects of performance on all contracts within the Northern Region. You will Plan, design and implement an overall risk management process for the Northern Region and wider Veolia Water UK business Unit.

You will evaluate risk with regard to legal and contract requirements, cost, and environmental factors, being responsible for all risk registers and management plans and working with the operational teams ensuring that all risks are captured, challenged and mitigated. Undertake risk reporting in an appropriate way for different audiences and ensure they are aware of risks relevant to their parts of the business and to individuals, to understand their accountability for individual risks and undertake external risk reporting to stakeholders as required.

You will carry out processes such as purchasing insurance and creating business continuity plans to limit risks and detail the process for, if and when things go wrong. Within your remit you will conduct audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors.

Responsible for providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organisation and develop, implement and provide guidance related to Performance Management Reporting processes and policies. An additional part or your role will be to analyse key themes using data from a wide range of sources, identifying possible impacts on the business and produce business review updates for senior management.

You will utilise your attention for detail to the full and have the opportunity to demonstrate your exceptional problem solving ability and interpretation skills, together with your strong analytical, data analysis and statistical techniques.

A pro-active, driven individual you will demonstrate initiative and possess the ability to communicate complex information in a concise, understandable manner. You will be required to demonstrate that you can understand business strategy, think long term and provide insight and analysis into business performance, in order to support effective development. You will have a collaborative approach, combined with the ability to influence and drive the agenda of others.
