We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Health Visitor or individual willing to undertake Health Visitor training to become part of the Oban, Lorn and Isles Children and Families Health Team.

Health Visiting is a diverse, satisfying and challenging role that involves working with families and young children to provide help and direction in the first few years of life. The role suits nurses and midwives with an interest in health improvement, public health and working in the community.

You will be either a qualified Health Visitor or First Level NMC Registered Nurse or Midwife qualified to degree level with evidence of recent CPD study. You should have a keen interest in working with children and families.
Applications are invited from qualified Health Visitors, or NMC registered nurses or midwives with degree. You should possess proven post registration experience, evidence of continuing professional development, and have good communication and IT skills.

If applying to be a Health Visitor trainee you must be willing to undertake the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing - Health Visiting qualification. Successful applicants will be placed on Agenda for Change Band 5 Staff Nurse salary. Graduates will progress to a substantive Health Visiting post Band 6 on successful completion of the programme and registration as a Health Visitor on the NMC register. Graduates will be expected to consolidate practice for two years post registration.

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
