Hays client are looking to recruit a Senior Fund Accounting Manager with strong Fund Accounting experience in the Financial, Client, Regulatory and Tax areas. The Manager is responsible for the retail accounting and reporting on behalf of a portfolio of clients and will hold responsibility for managing clients, derivatives, statutory accounting reviews and development of financial processes/procedures. The individual, along with the team supervisor, will be responsible for ensuring that all client deliverables are met and system process improvements are implemented effectively. Our client is a highly successful and growing business based in Edinburgh.
Your new role
As Senior Fund accounting Manager you will ensure that appropriate operational processes and controls are effective in the area. Client ownership is key with a requirements to meet with clients on an ongoing basis to discuss service and strategic initiatives/change. The role will include fund migrations and implementing change and efficiencies to support further growth. This role will be pivotal in the oversight and review of retail funds reports and accounts and will develop strong, pro-active relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Reporting, you will Identify opportunities for efficiencies and drive new developments and enhancements forward for the team. The role holder will be a technically strong accountant with an awareness around governance, risk and controls and as essential part of this includes working under SORP guidelines. In addition you will support the regional strategy for EMEA reporting and tax operations and drive forward continuous improvement exercises across international channels.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified Accountant with a a minimum of 10 years experience in Fund Accounting operations within a fast-paced Asset Management function. You will have a detailed understanding around SORP and financial reporting environments, fund migrations and implementing change and efficiencies across systems and processes.
What you'll get in return
The base of the role will be in Edinburgh with a working week of 9-5pm Monday - Friday. The banding of this role is £55,000 - £70,000 and will be based on experience.
