An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Operational Finance Analyst based in Edinburgh paying upto £30,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package including full study support.

The Role

Due to a number of new contracts and acquisitions, more information is required from the senior management team which has lead to the creation of this role. This role will involve pulling together operational data and costings which are required for the monthly reports. Having a strong understanding of logistics is a key part to the role. To be considered for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills and will suit candidates actively studying a professional accountancy qualification.

The role of Operational Finance Analyst will offer a salary of upto £30,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package including full study support. The office premises are based just outside Edinburgh city centre and are easily accessible via public transport and have parking facilitates available on site which is ideal for commuting from Fife, West Lothian, Falkirk or Stirling.

You will be responsible for but not limited to following duties:

  • Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager
  • Pulling together operational reports for the monthly/ Weekly reporting packs
  • Analysing weekly costings figures
  • Produce weekly and monthly management information for contract accounts
  • Provide analytical support
  • Variance analysis
  • KPI reporting
  • Finance business partnering with senior management team
  • Assisting with budget setting and monitoring including overhead reports
  • Weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasting
  • Production of periodic and adhoc financial reports
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • 3 years practical finance experience - ESSENTIAL
  • Actively studying or willingness to study a professional accountancy qualification - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong analytical skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
