Extras get in on the act
The bright lights of Hollywood might seem a long way from you if you are just starting out on your career path to become an actor. But an opportunity has just come up that might speed up the process and get you noticed.
A casting call has been issued for men and women to be extras in a major
new period TV drama – not much detail has been given about the show but
maybe this could be the next Downton Abbey?
The shooting will take place next month Julyin Aberdeenshire and Aviemore. There is a catch however. Those organising the casting calls are looking for specifics.
For the ladies, they can’t have suntans, visible tattoos or piercings (apart from ear piercings). And they need to have shoulder-length, un-dyed hair.
For men, ideally they will have hair that is at least 2-3in long on top and have no tattoos or piercings. And they have to be extremely flexible.
The advert reads: “Men will need to be as flexible as possible re hair, allow us to cut, ask you to grow so that we can cut and style as necessary. No long hair or shaved heads. Please grow out crew cuts/short hair to be considered.
“Good rates of pay. Interested? Apply here and we will be in touch. You must be over 16, legally allowed to work in the UK with a national insurance number.”
