New year and new premises for Matrix Risk Control
Incident investigation specialist Matrix Risk Control has started the new year with a move to new Aberdeen premises to support the firm’s continued growth.
The company, which was formerly based in Westhill, has moved into a larger, centrally-located suite of offices within Ocean Spirit House at Aberdeen’s Waterloo Quay. The relocation to expanded premises follows the appointment of three new associates to the company’s investigative training team last month, along with the promotion of three existing staff members to managerial positions.
Matrix Risk Control provides training and support services to help organisations manage many major forms of operational risk. Established by senior police officers in 2008, the company conducts training and independent investigations worldwide and has recently signed an additional partnership agreement with the New Zealand-based Incident Prevent Group (IPG). Closer to home, a new alliance with Angus-based IED Training Solutions has enabled Matrix Risk Control to add trauma management and employee welfare support to its incident investigation management service.
The company’s 1,000sqft Waterloo Quay base provides it with increased office and meeting space, along with ready access to on-site training rooms.
Alan Smith, operations director, Matrix Risk Control, said: “2016 was a very active year for us, with growing demand for our services domestically and overseas.
“There are further exciting developments planned for 2017. In view of these – and following our recent team expansion – the timing felt right for us to make the move to Waterloo Quay.
“The provision of a unique incident investigation management process, root cause analysis and incident investigation training forms a large part of our service offering. The first-class training facilities available to us onsite at Waterloo Quay will be a real asset to our trainers and course participants.”
Matrix Risk Control specialises in the core areas of root cause analysis, incident recording and incident investigation. The company offers a 24/7 emergency response service and has expertise in health and safety incidents, equipment/process failures, corporate homicide, and travel security.
