Peterhead is one of the UK’s most versatile ports, providing deep-water berthing facilities and serving a broad range of industries including fishing, oil and gas, decommissioning, renewables, ship repair and leisure. It is the UK’s largest white fish and pelagic port and is a major base for servicing the offshore oil and gas industries. The Authority is investing £52million in the development of the harbour which will take this unique Trust port forward into the next stage of its successful and thriving existence.
The project includes the development of a new fish market, a major deepening programme for the inner harbours and the reclamation of 25,000 sqm of land for the oil, gas and renewable industries; it is scheduled for completion in September 2018. The Authority seeks to appoint a new Chief Executive to lead the PPA and its 65 employees at this very exciting time in its continuing development.
Applicants are required to possess recent senior management experience of reporting to and supporting a Board, demonstrated responsibility for implementing strategic concepts and experience in the management of all or a significant part of an organisation’s operations, finances and resources.
