Our client is a market leading Learning & Development/ Employability provider who operates across Scotland and North East of England. Due to retirement they are now looking for a Head of Finance/ Company Secretary.

Job Description

- Manage all financial aspects for the group of companies
- Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results
- Establish budgets in accordance with the company requirements
- Process company payroll
- Administering pension schemes
- Prepare year-end journals and schedules supporting the financial statements
- Facilitate internal and external audits, including preparation of audit packs
- Conduct and report on financial reviews in support of procurement, contracting and forecasting activities
- Company Secretarial - Insurance, legal and licensing
- Filing annual returns at Companies House
- Key point of contact with company lawyers

Candidate Background

- Chartered Accountancy Qualification with relevant post qualification experience in a senior financial role
- Board level exposure
- Experience of preparing group accounts
- Knowledge of the Companies Act and International reporting and accounting standards
