We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our dynamic hospital-wide Roving Physiotherapy Team. This post is focussed on supporting teams in our medical corridor sub-specialities namely Acute Medical and the site's Acute Assessment Unit Medicine for the Elderly and the Integrated Stroke Unit.

Candidates must display evidence of clinical experience of work in a variety of acute areas from: Respiratory ITU / HDU Orthopaedics Stroke Acute Medicine and Medicine of the Elderly. Ability to prioritise and discharge plan for a wide range of presentations is essential as is clarity of communication and well-demonstrated organisational skills. Experience of supervision mentorship and appraisal of other staff members / students is ideal.

You will deliver physiotherapy assessments and treatments across the Royal Infirmary site's specialist teams as part of the Roving service in particular to the site's medical speciality ward areas. This team currently includes band 5 and 6 staff. There is a regular weekend and overnight on-call commitment.

The range of conditions and specialities encountered and requirement for excellence in clinical reasoning and team working in this post at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh will allow the successful candidate to gain extensive and in-depth experience as a band 6 physiotherapist.

Physiotherapy Services support staff development through appraisal processes supervision and CPD opportunities.
