The Role

Your responsibilities will include taking a variety of interesting and challenging calls, some of which include making various changes to our customer’s accounts and answering complex queries whilst keeping to a first call resolution. Here at SSE we pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service and stand by our core values making us a great place to work, which is what makes us one of the biggest energy competitors out there. We’re not just an energy company, we’re here to listen and provide an excellent range of products and services, as well as saving our customers money where we can. We are currently open from 8am to 10pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 6pm on Saturdays and our advisors work various shifts within these times.

Your Skills and Experience

You’ll be adaptable to change, as this is key to your success as well as the growth of our business. You’ll think on your feet, listen to our customers, display empathy and ensure you meet the customer’s expectations. You will work individually, as well as being part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment where you will thrive to be the best. We have many supporting teams across Cardiff, Cumbernauld, Havant and Perth with different business areas working together. We will ensure the customer is getting the best deals on Tariffs, Talk and Broadband, Boiler Insurance and Electrical Wiring Insurance. We have a unique culture where we value everyone; our front-line staff that deal directly with our customers have a vital role in the business. We will train and support you throughout your journey to enhance and develop your existing skills. Many of our leaders began their careers in the role you are applying for today.
