Job Title: Renewable Generation SHE Manager Hydro

Location: Clunie Power Station, Pitlochry PH16 5NF

Salary: Circa £46,000 + car/cash allowance + annual bonus

Our Role

Reporting to the Renewable Generation SHE Manager - Wholesale, you will oversee SHE for Hydro Renewable Generation throughout the Wholesale Business. This will involve actively supporting the Renewable Generation team to keep people, assets and the environment safe from harm through the application and promotion of SHE policies and standards across the group.

Your Skills and Experience

Experience of working in a high hazardous industry is vital as is sound working knowledge of SHE regulations in the UK in line with SSE Business Environments. You will have a good understanding of SHE Management Systems, have excellent communication skills with a natural flair for forging relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and the ability to work and deliver against challenging constraints.

You will hold a professional qualification Level 4 in Occupational Health and Safety Management or a scientific/engineering or equivalent qualification and will be registered or willing to work towards membership of IOSH or equivalent accrediting body.

As a keen problem solver and critical thinker, you will have the ability to address complex issues making them simple through to a well-structured systematic approach, understand risks and implement appropriate solutions. Above all, you will demonstrate awareness of both personal and corporate safety practices.

Due to the level of mobility required in this role a full UK driving licence is essential.
