£20,000 to £26,000 basic per annum (depending on experience) + uncapped bonus & excellent benefits - OTE £40,000 in year one

Due to a period of sustained growth and success in the East Scotland marketplace Reed Business Support are currently recruiting for a Recruitment Consultant to join our well-established team in Edinburgh.

This role would be ideal for an experienced, driven and tenacious Recruitment Consultant looking for their next move in the industry to a warm desk with huge growth potential. Consultants who have experience of developing a new growth area whilst leveraging current established and profitable relationships into new business will be at a distinct advantage in this process.

Duties involved in this role will include:-
- Developing new business opportunities from Reed’s substantial existing client base, promoting and selling Reed Business Support’s services
- Identifying new potential clients through lead generation, research and cold-calling
- Sourcing suitable candidates using job boards and other candidate attraction methods for both temporary bookings and permanent roles
- Creating adverts for vacancies to assist with your candidate attraction
- Carrying out interviews with your candidates, ensuring standard Reed procedures are followed
- Negotiating offers between candidates and clients

In order to be considered for this role, you must have the following:-
- The ability to sell – as client development is a large part of the role you must have this ability gained from either a Recruitment background (preferred) or a Sales/Business Development background
- Excellent organisational skills – this is a very busy team so you will need to ensure that you stay on top of a heavy and constantly changing workload
- Negotiation and influencing skills – as you will be developing new business you must be able to negotiate effectively and influence decision makers to your way of thinking
