Extra Care Advisor, Permanent, Glasgow

Salary - £17,000 per annum

Hours - 37.5 hours per week

Shifts - Rotational pattern – 08:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday and 08:30 to 18:00 on Saturday

Konecta UK are working with a major provider in the UK’s utilities sector and we’re looking for Extra Care Advisors to join the team in our Glasgow City Centre offices.

You will put the customer at the heart of everything you do, ensuring the right outcome is delivered and that the customer is fully satisfied with the outcome.You will look after “vulnerable” customers, this may not only cover difficulty in paying bills but could also encompass customers with disabilities, elderly customers or customers who have difficulty in communicating effectively.It is important that our Extra Care Advisors take a sensitive, flexible approach to a customer query or request and the first interaction with any customer will be critical in identifying their specific vulnerability.Key to this will be listening skills, being able to “really hear” what a customer is saying and picking up on any warning signs in the information being relayed to you.You will be a confident communicator and adept at asking the right questions.

ESSENTIAL KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

·Good listening skills – with the ability to really hear what the customer is saying

·Strong, confident communicator, able to diffuse difficult situations

·A demonstrable high level of empathy towards vulnerable customers

·Evidence of dealing with complaints and resolving to the customer’s satisfaction

DESIRABLE

·Contact centre background

·Experience of the utilities sector and / or a strong understanding of working within a regulated environment.
