We are looking for 2 Schools Coordinators to join our growing team at BREAKTHROUGH Dundee
We’re offering a brilliant opportunity to help care experienced and vulnerable young people in Dundee secondary schools to make the most of their potential. If you are bursting with energy, enthusiasm and have a burning desire to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people, keep reading as this might just be the job for you.
Working within either Harris Academy or St John’s RC High School, you’ll drive the next phase of our tried and tested mentoring programme for young people whose lives you’ll help turn around. You’ll work with colleagues in each school and alongside other professionals to create and develop lasting relationships between mentors and mentees.
BREAKTHROUGH Dundee is a new charity, launched in 2017 and together with our mentors we are already helping young people in local secondary schools achieve incredible things.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing relationships between volunteer mentors and mentees
- Delivering key elements of the BREAKTHROUGH 1:1 programme
- Being part of an integrated team within schools
- Coordinating mentee participation in ‘experiential’ events out-with school
- Delivering training to mentors
Hours 35 per week, based in a Dundee Secondary School
Salary £24-£26K contract initially fixed term for 2 years
