An opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacist to join our forward thinking and dynamic Pharmacy team in NHS Fife to lead on education and training.

You will be responsible for the development, management and co-ordination of education and training for pharmacy staff and trainees including pre-registration training, vocational training, in-service training, undergraduate and postgraduate education and vocational training programmes. The post holder will contribute to pharmacy practice research through leading quality improvement projects, research studies and supervising others on formal postgraduate programmes.

You will directly line manage the Lead Technician, Support Staff Development and work alongside the Senior Pharmacist, Medical Education as part to the NHS Fife Education and Training team.

You will also have the opportunity to work as part of the clinical pharmacy team delivering highly specialised pharmaceutical care on a sessional basis.

You will have experience of teaching, supervision, assessment and evaluation of education and training for staff and/or students. You will have significant post registration experience as a pharmacist in a clinical setting and have experience of research/audit and using outcomes to improve practice.

To apply for this post you must have a relevant post graduate qualification in pharmacy (e.g. Diploma or MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience) and have significant experience as a pharmacist in a clinical setting. You will be a role model practitioner with motivational skills, be able to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with multidisciplinary colleagues and be able to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.

This post is NHS Fife wide and will work across the NHS Fife Single System Pharmacy Service and the ability to travel throughout Fife is essential.
