NHS Fife Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Team has robust strategic leadership and pride themselves in participation in the development of services locally and Nationally. Staff engagement and support are key themes which underpin the development and delivery of MSK Physiotherapy to the Fife population.

We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic HCPC registered Physiotherapist to provide clinical, strategic and operational leadership to our MSK physiotherapy staff. You will be expected to carry a clinical caseload,(a minimum of 4 clinics per week), at advanced practice level and to liaise with service managers, orthopaedic and rheumatology consultants, GP’s, nurse practitioners and physiotherapists to provide, monitor and develop an integrated advanced MSK provision in both acute and community settings. You will receive guidance in this role from the operational and clinical lead therapists, undertaking clinical audit, report writing and strategic participation in the management team within the service.

You will be expected to work across NHS Fife. Orthopaedic clinics are provided in Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline, and the flexibility to travel around the Fife area on a daily basis is required, depending on the needs of the service.

You must have an excellent knowledge base regarding the management of musculoskeletal conditions and previous practical experience at highly specialist or advanced practice physiotherapy level. Injection therapy would be preferable. Experience of teaching undergraduates and junior staff and evidence of effective clinical leadership are essential. You will be motivated, possess excellent communication skills and have a willingness to be an active team player.

The promotion of a person-centred approach to patient care and staff development are central to our service improvement culture. We strive to provide a stimulating and learning working environment, with regular in-service training, peer review, mentorship and varied experiential opportunities. We actively encourage Continuing Professional Development (CPD), participation in service evaluations, clinical audits, and practice development networks. You will also be well supported by our team of experienced advanced practice physiotherapists and a Consultant Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
