Search Healthcare are looking for an experienced Senior Service Manager to work for a disability service located in Edinburgh on a temporary 3 month contract. They provide support to adults with acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities and learning disabilities at six services located across Edinburgh.

The role:

  • Job Title: Senior Service Manager
  • Working Pattern: Monday-Friday (39 hours a week)
  • Salary: £30,000 on a pro rata basis
  • Contract: Temp - 3 months

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safe delivery of the service in line with legislative and statutory requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the service delivered across the six services is consistent
  • Maintain accurate and full records and reporting systems in accordance with legal and statutory requirements
  • Manage complaints and incidents effectively
  • Work with Team Leaders in preparation for Care Inspectorate visits
  • Promote the rights of each person the company supports and respect their needs and wishes form the centre of the support they receive
  • Ensure all staff receive regular supervisions and appraisals
  • Ensure effective communication between supported people, families, staff and external bodies is maintained at all times
  • Ensure that there are sufficient numbers of suitably qualified staff allocated appropriately to meet service needs at all times
  • Ensure that emergency on calls are dealt with efficiently and effectively
  • Respond to audit findings, complaints, investigations and accidents or incidents thoroughly and in a timely manner
  • Provide information and advice on regulatory matters to direct support staff

To be considered for the role you should have:

  • A proven track record as a Senior Support Manager within support services
  • A SVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management for Care Services or a Social Work degree
  • Experience of preparing support services for care inspectorate visits
  • Good understanding of Care Inspection Standards and relevant legislation
