Continuous Improvement Facilitator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Continuous Improvement Facilitator to join our dynamic and fast-paced Continuous Improvement Team at our Edinburgh site. This is a key role within the business, where you will be providing support to all functions, but in particular the CI, Operations and Engineering teams, in order to deliver against the Edinburgh Site Improvement strategy.
This role will have responsibility for delivery of step change improvement projects aligned with Continuous Improvement training across the site, focusing on the key CI pillars identified in the site improvement strategy. You will apply CI tools to deliver targets set by the Manufacturing Improvement Manager and support and drive improvement plans, CI initiatives, budgets and resources.
The successful candidate will be ideally qualified with Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, however, a green belt qualification with practical evidence applying this for over two years, and a willingness to study for your Black Belt qualification may still be considered. You should have a clear understanding and be able to apply continuous improvement tools and techniques,in particular DMAIC, SMED, 5S, Centre Lining, SIC, Kaizen and Line Balancing. Experience of working within a manufacturing and unionised environment would be extremely beneficial. You will be self-motivated, have the ability to work as part of a small team effectively while driving your own learning and objectives and the ability to mentor others. Organisation and an ability to plan for both day-to-day and long-term projects is also vital for this role.
