A Civil and Structural Consulting Engineering practice that provide engineering services to a wide base of public and private clients throughout the UK. The practice is generally involved in the design of residential, commercial and industrial building projects and undertakes large regeneration works. Their high degree of quality and expertise have seen them recently been listed in the top 100 Civil Engineering companies from a survey by New Civil Engineer (NCE) and they are looking for a Civil Engineering Technician to maintain and progress this level of prestige.
Your new role
Due to an increasing workload, this organisation have a vacancy for a civil engineering technician
who will be primarily involved in the design and detailing of roads and drainage for residential projects.
You will prepare; drainage designs, swept path analysis for roads, flood routing
diagrams and site designs. On a regular basis, you will liaise with clients, architects and other
professionals so good communication skills are essential.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be competent in the use of PDS, Microdrainage or Civil 3D or be able to demonstrate that your experience of other software's will allow you to become a competent user within 3 months. It is essential that you are fully conversant with all aspects of residential roads and drainage and have experience in working with SUDS.
