The school was the subject of a HMIE inspection in 2007, and local authority follow-through visits in March 2009 and May 2010.

The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) comprises the Rector, four Depute Rectors and the Business Manager.
The current teaching staff complement is 86.89 FTE with 21.21 FTE staff other than teachers.
The school was refurbished in 2004, and enjoys a high standard of accommodation. The facilities are used extensively outside normal school hours, and the school has recently been designated a Community Sports Hub.ICT facilities are very good, and have recently been upgraded.

Further information about the school can be found on our website www.royalhigh.edin.sch.uk, or if you require further information about the post please contact the school by email at or telephone 0131 336 2261.

This post is within the Integrated Support Team (Guidance and Support for Learning) working with pupils with additional support needs.
