We manage over 3,000 homes across almost 70 communities and have an active programme of building more affordable homes for rent and ownership. We strive to deliver long term housing solutions which help communities to be sustainable. We do this by providing innovative services together with partner agencies across the Highlands and the wider Scottish arena. 

Applications are invited for 2 fixed term positions within our Customer Services team in Inverness.


(CS38) Salary £15,925 per annum / £8.75 per hour Fixed Term post (24 months) • Based Inverness • 35 hours, 5 days (Mon to Fri)

We have an exciting opportunity for you to study and achieve the following qualifications:

SVQ Level 2 (SCQF Level 6) in Housing  + 

Chartered Institute of Housing Level 2 Certificate in Housing Practice

These qualifications will give you the opportunity to develop your skills along with providing you with the knowledge and practical experience of the core aspects of housing practice.

You will be required to work and support the Housing Services Team by providing advice to customers on a range of general housing and maintenance related issues e.g. rent arrears, voids, waiting lists, tenancy agreements and anti-social behaviour.

We are offering this exciting opportunity for a conscientious, flexible and hard-working 20-24 year old who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills to come and work in the affordable housing sector.

Some knowledge of the social housing environment is an advantage, we are looking for someone with a “can do” attitude, who is a quick learner and committed to assisting the team. It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be qualified to Nat 5 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

An essential part of this apprenticeship will see you gain valuable “on the job” skills, training and experience.  Your formal training will be delivered by SHARE in Glasgow, and you will be given protected time for study during the working week. You will gain a Modern Apprenticeship in Housing upon successful completion of the modern apprenticeship programme.
