Salary £23340 - £25512 per annum (£12.79-£13.98 per hour)

Located within the Development Division of Partnership & Services for Communities, East Lothian Works offers a range of employability services across East Lothian.
An opportunity has arisen for a 12 month post within the Adult Team at East Lothian Works to support adults to make progression into sustained employment through working in a group setting and on a 1:1 basis.
The Employability Support Officer will manage a caseload of individuals, working with them in a person-centred manner to move into employment, via work placements, learning and skills development. The post holder will support individuals to overcome barriers to employment such as core skills and low self-esteem. As part of the post, the Employability Support Officer will also assist Development Officers in the delivery of key programmes at East Lothian Works including – New Opportunities East Lothian (NOEL) and Routes to Work.
To support young people and adults to make positive progression in their lives by identifying and accessing appropriate learning or training opportunities leading to sustained employment, in accordance of Council policies and procedures.

Educated to HNC/SVQ3 in Childcare and Development or Social Care or equivalent and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle*
