Your new role
You will be involved an a great variety of work, as the Personal Tax Team carries out compliance and advisory work for a diverse and large number of clients, including high net worth individuals, company directors, trusts, estates, partnerships and sold traders. With varying backgrounds, you will experience industries such as legal, medical, property and construction. As the Personal Tax Assistant, you will prepared the personal tax returns, P11Ds and EMI forms where necessary, and answer client queries following any required research. Further to this, you will support the team in relation to advisory work, and liaise with the Senior Manager and Partners in respect to clients expectations and budgets. You will also be able to develop a review portfolio.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic self-starter with knowledge of tax, including personal tax computations and returns. You will preferably have circa. 2 years experience of working in a Chartered Accountancy environment. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise and organise an ever-changing workload while successfully meeting deadlines and remaining up-to-date with all relevant legislation alterations. Further to this, you will be eager to learn and able to identify gaps in knowledge and skills with the aim to address them yourself and with colleagues. Communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
