This traineeship forms the foundation of a career within the HR Profession by giving you a good grounding across the whole range of HR disciplines from HR Operations to Policy & Reward and Organisation Development. Successful completion will enable you to apply for Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the professional body for the HR sector.
A scheme of progression is in place from £17,176, which allows for annual salary progression to £19,297 at the start of year 2 and £21,399 at the start of year 3, following successful completion of your qualifications and demonstration of the necessary competencies and behaviours.
You will rotate across HR undertaking a range of project work, applying HR skills either as an individual or as part of a project team. This will include, for example:
- Providing HR advice and guidance
- Working with colleagues on HR projects
- Carrying out research and analysis and presenting recommendations
- Producing a range of written material
- Creating relevant HR information
Representing the HR Service at internal and external meetings as required.The Individual
This vacancy is restricted to applicants who currently live in Fife. You must also be aged between 16 and 24 as at the 31st July 2018.
Applicants require a minimum of an HNC qualification and an interest in the work of HR.
The successful applicant must have:
- Enthusiasm for, and interest in, the work of HR
- Research & problem solving skills
- Ability to present issues clearly / concisely and to exercise influencing skills
- Ability to use own initiative and work to deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
