Towngate Personnel are currently working with a stunning four star hotel situated just outside of Falkirk in Scotland. The Hotel has over 60 bedrooms, a 2 rosette restaurant and excellent leisure facilities.
The restaurant showcases traditional Scottish cuisine with ingredients sourced from local suppliers and the menu changes with the seasons. The Hotel is also busy with weddings and functions and can host sit down dinners for up to 200 covers.
There is a team of 7 chefs in the brigade and we are looking for a hands on sous chef to help with the day to day running of the kitchen.
Ideal candidates for the role
Will have experience as a sous chef within a four star Hotel or fine dining restaurantYou will ideally have experience at 1 or 2 rosette levelYou will be hands on leaderYou will ideally have some banqueting experience
Typical duties for the role:
  • Managing the kitchen in a hands on capacity
  • Working closely with the head chef and assisting with menu development
  • Looking after the kitchen in the head chefs absence
  • Assisting with the training and development of the Junior Chefs
  • Dealing with suppliers, stocktaking, and helping with the daily paperwork
