What the role is:

In this customer facing role the focus is on relationship development and a culinary offering that can really drive business growth. Working with both our internal and external stakeholders your role is pivotal to understanding our customer requirements and using your skills and expertise to exceed customer expectations ensuring that we are the culinary market leader and partner of choice.

What you’ll be doing will include:

  • Work with our customer and sales/ commercial team to understand our customer requirements

  • Using your skills and expertise, develop quality products and dishes in line with the customers brief, proposing new and exciting ideas

  • Using the assistance of the team, prepare and lead customer presentations within specific timescales

  • Develop plating guides for presentation

  • Assist Culinary Excellence with high profile menu presentations to customers

  • Lead in-house presentations to Chefs on new products and new methods of production

  • Explain kitchen and production concepts in ‘layman’ terms to customers and chefs

  • Work with the commercial team on menu specifications post-presentation to ensure accuracy and consistency of data

  • Ensure all costs are contained within agreed financial guidelines

  • Undertake the management of a small team of chefs

  • Maintain and monitor working practices, systems and processes in order to meet schedules

  • Ensure that all process checks are undertaken as required and monitor performance ensuring any corrective action is undertaken where required

  • Investigate, analyse, suggest and implement corrective actions to resolve problems

  • Support with in-house hospitality for client entertaining

What you’ll have will include:

  • Professional culinary qualifications e.g. 706/1, 706/2 & 706/3 or diploma/ degree level

  • Experience of working in various types of culinary outlets

  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to build rapport and create long-term business relationships

  • Confidence in taking a lead role in presenting to a group

  • Possess excellent product presentation skills

  • To be enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude

  • Ability to adapt in order to meet the customers needs whilst still operating within the company constraints

  • Must be able to work and deliver results within deadlines

  • Flexibility to working hours in order to meet customer requirements

  • Flexibility to work across our UK locations as required for presentations
