Data & Control Accountant
An excellent opportunity has arisen with a large business solutions organisation in Glasgow City Centre. My clients are looking to recruit a brand new role as a Repayments Data Analyst to assist the Asset Management Team. This is the ideal role for anyone with a strong finance background who has gained their exposure through the Public Sector or within Financial Services. This role will be work in progress and you will be given additional responsibility once you are fully up and running. You will initially be managing a team of 4 which will expand given business needs further down the line.
The purpose of the role:
You will be responsible for the high volume data reporting, delivery and servicing of debt sales, analysing the data quality and repayments, dealing with data quality improvements and externally reporting findings to governing bodies such as the UK Government investments.
Must have direct management exposure
Previous experience in Public Sector or Financial Services with high volume data analysis and processing
The ability to quickly problem solve and identify and address any gaps that prevent borrowers repaying
Being able to design and implement repayments data on dashboard
You must be business and process focused
excellent communication skills and the ability to build key relationships within the business
Take responsibility for the day to day line management, performance of direct reports ensuring quality and standards are maintained and adhered to policies and procedures
Manage team workload, monitor, prioritise and implement fixes for existing data quality suite of reports
Lead and manage comprehensive understanding of proposals for development, through defining and undertaking appropriate research
You will be required to engage with, influence and inform senior stakeholders internally and externally to form and take forward recommendations relating to the strategic objective of maximising the value of the loan book or maximising loans entering repayment streams
Experience evidenced in a similar role, preferably with exposure in both financial services and a public sector environment
Experience of a range of mainstream financial systems and reporting packages
Excellent communication and and presentation skills
