Leading drinks company in Edinburgh recruiting for a Category Buyer on a 12 month contract

Exciting job opportunity to join a leading Drinks organisation as a Category Buyer on a 12 month fixed term contract. Due to extra investment, the organisation are looking for an experienced procurement professional to manage a number of high value procurement projects.
Your new role
Joining a market leading business with a global footprint as a Category Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring services within the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) category of spend for the UK. This will involve developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies for hard services. You will also manage the tendering process and will negotiate contracts to ensure value for money is achieved and will identify and implement improvement plans to deliver cost savings. Along with this, you will also develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the organisation brand and procurement reputation is upheld.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an enthusiastic and driven individual with experience managing the end to end tender process within the CAPEX category of spend. You will be an excellent communicator with strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage a busy workload. Experience with JCT contracts is also beneficial.
What you'll get in return
Working for a forward thinking, well branded organisation in the drinks industry, you will be paid a day rate equivalent to a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 for a 12 month contract. You will join a reputable procurement team who have built an excellent reputation internally and externally for their commitment for people development and sustainable procurement.
