I have a superb opportunity for a seasoned Solutions Architect to join a key client of ours in central Edinburgh.



This is your chance to be part of something pretty special, and an opportunity that you could really put your stamp on / make your own. You will be a key player within the architecture team, working on the delivery of several very high profile application transformation projects.



This role will see you own the high level design of one or more key features within the system, and you'll be pivotal in driving technical teams through solutions design.



The system you'll be working on is a layered web application built usingJSF/RichFaces and a JBoss Fuse Framework, hence you'll come from a strong development background originally, and will have progressed in to the architecture arena, as well as being in very client facing roles as you've grown in your career.



The team you'll be working with are a great bunch, their switched on, the environment is very collaborative and there is huge investment in tech. It's an opportunity not to be missed!



Key Requirements:



** As this role is client facing strong stakeholder skills are a must, as is a passion for technology



** You'll be responsible for driving future state architecture to support business areas as well as ensuring technology system direction, is aligned with business needs and priorities.



** A strong track record of designing solutions to customer requirements and budget is essential as is evaluating necessary trade-offs, and negotiating these with customers and stakeholders



** Attend governance and oversight committees related to technology planning, design etc.



** Build strong relationships with business partners to ensure technology alignment with business priorities.



** Create and drive best practices across architecture organisation.



**Develop expert knowledge of existing systems and facilitate creation of mechanisms to track current and future state architectures.
