A talented and passionate Sous Chef is required for this fine dining events company based in Edinburgh. As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef with all daily duties of running a busy operation - staff training, menu development and costing, orders and ensuring the smooth running of every service. The position offers appealing hours with evenings and weekends off when no events.
As Sous Chef you will help to run various types of events serving high standard food alongside and in the absence of the Head Chef. You will also be required to write, develop and cost menu proposals for clients. The company currently cater for a range of all occasions, from small private functions to large weddings and you will be extremely involved in the planning of all types of events. The role will involve preparing high quality menus from a central kitchen before leading service in some of the best locations Scotland has to offer.
The successful candidate will have the ability to prepare foods to a high standard, good man management skills, hardworking and will have good communication skills. Experience in a 2-3 Rosette establishment is vital though Chef de Parties having worked in a Michelin starred environment will be considered. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE ROLE A FULL, CLEAN DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL AS YOU WILL BE USING A COMPANY VEHICLE ON EVENT DAYS.
