Salary: £20,159 to £24,029 (pro rata for sessional working)
Hours: 36 per week, term-time only (39 weeks per year)
Craigour Park Nursery and Primary School is a non-denominational school built as part of the City of Edinburgh phase 1 of Private/Public Partnership. The catchment area is to the south of the City in an area of re-generation around the new Royal Infirmary Hospital complex. The housing is mixed, mostly private/rented (DHS), high rise (single parent families) and private owners-young families in their first family home. The current role is 520 approx in the school plus a 50 AM and 50 PM Nursery.
For session 2018/9 there is 18 classes in the main school, Nursery has capacity for 50 pupils am/pm (part time). The school is multicultural for both pupils and staff. The Senior Management Team comprises of a Head Teacher, 2 Depute Head Teachers, a Principal Teacher and a Business Manager. Other staff include PE Teacher (1 fte), Drama Teacher (0.35fte) various additional visiting staff, 3 Office staff, 12 Pupil Support Assistants and an Early Years Officer and 5 Early Years Practioners.

This post is considered regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
