Salary: up to £58,371 depending on skills and experience
Permanent| Full Time Hours|37 hours per week
We have highly skilled teams working on our Networks to maintain and improve our operations at all times; this is where you come in. You will have responsibility for co-ordinating operational planning of all outages on the SHEPD high voltage network whilst ensuring compliance with Distribution, Grid Code & contractual requirements. You will be working closely with Regional and Commercial Contracts Managers in order to make sound business decisions allowing the delivery of all planned works, while managing the inherent risks. All the time delivering exceptional service to all internal and external customers, with proactive communication and embedding a culture that puts the customer at the heart of everything we do while implementing a continuous improvement philosophy.
Your Skills and Experience
To perform this role to the expected level, and ensure our customers receive the highest standard of service, we would like you to be able to display a detailed knowledge of the distribution business. Along with this you should display a thorough knowledge of the operation, protection and safety aspects associated with High Voltage electrical networks, alongside a relevant qualification. Experience of delivering outage plans is a must, as is experience of managing teams.
Your organisational skills must be of an extremely high standard, and you should be able to demonstrate an ability to foster long term reciprocal relationships. These will be key to your success in this role. Other essential skills should include sound commercial acumen, as the decisions taken in this role have a widespread impact across the networks community. As a people manager, you should be an excellent communicator not only within the Distribution Control Centre but at all levels with Networks.
