Salary: £36,500 - £55,000 depending on skills and experience
10 Month Fixed Term Contract with flexible working patterns available
As Primary Research Manager, you will work as part of our Insight team to deliver insightful consumer research which will help support, inform and shape the SSE Retail Business Strategy and Vision. With your drive, energy and focus, you will also play a key role in helping define our customer propositions and communications.
Working closely with the internal stakeholders, you will identify and meet the business's insight requirements, helping develop and refine customer offerings. You'll be responsible for the day to day management of primary research projects and forging strong professional relationships with external agencies to ensure projects remain on track in terms of timescale, budget, objectives, and that they are delivering insight which adds value and deepens customer understanding across the business. As a champion of customer views, you'll drive insight in to the business, helping internal stakeholders access, interpret and apply insights, tailoring your outputs to the audience where appropriate.
Your Skills and Experience
We are looking for a passionate, energetic individual with extensive Customer Insight experience, ideally gained in a service brand environment with a background working as part of a client side team. You'll have a proven track record of helping drive business action and change through the application of insights identified from your research, data and analysis. First class communication skills will be essential so that you can communicate effectively with, and influence, varying levels of internal and external stakeholders, but more importantly you'll have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment, seamlessly managing multiple tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail. You'll be expert in identifying the most appropriate research methodologies to answer business problems and you should be comfortable exploring new research techniques alongside applying tried and trusted approaches. We are looking for a qualitative or quantitative specialist who is a logical thinker and possesses strong analytical, problem solving and influencing skills.
There will be some travel in this role as the team you will be working with is based across Glasgow and Reading, therefore you should feel comfortable with some travel.
