Job Title: Treasury Cash Manager
Salary: £36,500 - £45,000 depending on skills and experience + annual bonus
Permanent Contract | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available | 37 hours per week
The Treasury team within SSE plc are responsible for the raising and management of debt in excess of £9.2bn, short term surplus cash management, interest rate risk management and foreign exchange risk management. Additionally, the Treasury function arranges and manages operational banking services to support the requirements of the SSE Group (including a number of JV's).
As Treasury Cash Manager, you are responsible for the day to day running of the Treasury Cash management process on behalf of the Group which includes calculating daily cash positions, cashflow forecasting, payments and payments systems, FX cash management, operational bank relationship management and management reporting. You'll help drive performance improvements through automating manual processes and reviewing and reporting on opportunities relating to payment and technology initiatives.
The Treasury Cash Manager is also responsible for managing the cash management requirements of the number of high profile JV's that SSE provide Treasury services to. This involves the same duties as above and requires the Treasury Cash Manager to build strong relationships with the senior management and Finance team of the relevant JV's as well as managing the key operational banking relationships on behalf of the JV's.
In addition to the above, you will liaise with Business Partners and Finance Managers on a regular basis to provide updates and advice on a number cash management matters while there is also a requirement to communicate with external banks, external auditors and other external counterparties.
Your Skills and Experience
Ideally, you'll be a qualified accountant or have significant cash management experience over a number of years preferably within a Treasury function. You should demonstrate the ability to deliver a high quality of work on a consistent basis and be able to work accurately when meeting tight deadlines. You should be a good team player, possess strong analytical skills, be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Microsoft Excel and be a confident and effective communicator with strong presentation skills.
