As Commissioning Engineer you'll lead the Transmission Project Teams through the commissioning process to ensure that projects are delivered safely and with due consideration of the overall network in line with SHE Transmission commissioning policy and procedures. You'll work to ensure that all commissioning requirements are considered and delivered at every stage of a project, becoming involved at inception through to final handover to our Operations teams; this includes inclusion of sequence diagrams at each stage, identifying key dates, outage requirements, interim running arrangements and interfaces with other teams. In addition, a part of your role will be to conduct analysis of the network, alongside other transmission engineers, to minimise risk and deliver projects whilst maintaining security of the network.

Your role will be varied, allowing you the opportunity to liaise and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring our projects are coordinated effectively, safely and communicated effectively to Project Directors, Managers and engineering teams.

To be successful in the role you will be educated to HND level or above and have experience of Distribution and associated Telecoms (e.g. communications on networks). You'll also have a proven track record within the industry and experience of design, installation, operational and commissioning covering all Transmission voltages. You'll be a highly organised individual, with a strong capability of delivering high quality work in a demanding project environment. You should also have experience in leading a team of skilled individuals, and the ability to coordinate and motivate project them to provide high levels of service whilst maintaining quality standards.
