Job Title: IT Business Partner - Networks
Salary: £49565 - £65458 depending on skills and experience
Permanent/Full Time Hours
Our SSE Networks (SSEN) businesses incorporate both the Transmission and Distribution aspects of energy delivery. SSEN has a very significant roadmap of change planned over the next 4-5 years which will fundamentally transform the business, including all aspects of IT that underpin it.
As the primary point of contact for IT to the Networks business for the development of their IT strategy and portfolio of all development work, you'll establish, nurture and evolve the relationship between the Networks management team and IT. You'll need to understand their business goals and priorities and ensure these are reflected in the IT strategy, pro-actively supporting and managing any changes to ensure they also align to evolving business needs. You'll not only ensure the IT budget is spent effectively but also delivers maximum return on investment. Managing the development of realistic benefits cases, ensuring these are tracked and delivered against and ensuring governance forums are established are all key parts of your role. You'll also manage and help shape all new demand for IT projects, considering alignment to strategy, resource availability, business priorities and project benefits.
Your Skills and Experience
We need you to be an experienced IT Business Partner/IT Business Relationship Manager, perhaps BRMP (Business Relationship Management Professional), CBRM (Certified Business Relationship Manager) or a member of BRMI (Business Relationship Management Institute), with good experience of building, maintaining and managing business relationships at a senior level. You'll demonstrate experience of holding strategic conversations as well as leading strategic workshops and, ideally, you'll be qualified to, or at least have significant experience of, Prince 2 and/or Agile.
