We have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our GI Claims team located on the Island Site in Norwich.

Life of our Customers (both internal and external) is full of unexpected twists and turns, but for every situation, our Finance Business Partners are on hand to support our business. Joining our Business Partnering Team you’ll have a vital role to play. Here, every one of our people is a great communicator (talker and listener), investigator, pragmatist, influencer and decision maker.

Our professionals provide financial support and robust challenge in equal measures to the Claims function. This will involve providing financial guidance, insight, challenge and reporting on financial performance, on a regular basis.

This means engaging with this core area of our business right through the organisation from call centre to board room.

You will work with the Senior Finance Business partner responsible for the Claims function, co-piloting them thorough the difficult decisions they have to make, and taking corrective action where necessary.

With your strong work ethic and even stronger customer focus, you'll put yourself in our businesses’ and customer's shoes driving our results forward.

Skills & Experience required

  • Excellent communication both written and oral and possesses good questioning skills
  • Good commercial understanding of the insurance business.
  • Strong financial understanding of insurance P&L account and reporting measures.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Prioritisation and problem solving skills
  • Good Excel skills
  • Proactive supplier/customer and stakeholder management
  • Experience of influencing senior management
  • Highly numerate with relevant qualification (ACA, ACCA ,CIMA or Actuarial qualification) and / or relevant experience
