A vital part of NHSScotland, National Services Scotland’s (NSS) mission is to enable and support the delivery of better health and better care working in partnership. We do this by providing a range of specialised services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.

An opportunity has arisen in our Human Resources function for a Workforce Information Analyst to join our team on a fixed term basis.  The role will provide first point of contact systems support, dealing with enquiries and requests for assistance from both internal and external customers.

The role will support the maintenance, development, testing and implementation of HR Systems, with a specific focus on driving forward the configuration, implementation and report development for a new Health and Safety system and upgrade of our current Occupational Health system.

You should have sound knowledge and experience of working within a multi system interface environment and to be able to relate to operational dependencies of systems, e.g. structures, access rights, etc, ideally specifically those within an HR environment.  You should also have experience of developing technical solutions to problems with minimal supervision and to solve problems in a logical and structured way.  A comprehensive understanding of how to construct reports and extract and manipulate information from relevant systems is essential. Experience of using Business Objects and SQL reporting would be advantageous.  You will work within a high volume area and the ability to manage your workload, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality are key for this role.

For an informal discussion about the role contact Angela Paton, HR Workforce Information & Systems Team Leader on Tel.

Any candidate who has worked overseas for more than 3 months will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.

Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive range of work life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefit.
