Finance Systems Section Leader, Financial Management Unit, 409.45, CD 26/08/2018
The council’s Financial Management Unit (FMU) is seeking to recruit three Finance Systems Section Leaders to play a lead role in managing the Purchase to Pay and Systems officers and also to maintain the Finance Systems in order to deliver an effective payment and system support service in line with targets set within the Finance and Property Services management plan and service standards.
The Section Leaders will also play a major role within the council with responsibility for developing and maintaining the systems which enable the Financial Management Unit, and those officers responsible for purchase to pay activities and financial reporting within Services, to function effectively.
The posts include responsibility for ongoing maintenance, administration and development of the council's IT finance systems: Purchase to Pay (PECOS), Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Purchase Card, Treasury and BACS. The posts include responsibility for management reports, maintaining and developing Business Intelligence Reports and the Business Intelligence System.
