Job Title: Procurement Operations Manager

Location: Perth, Glasgow or Reading

Salary: £50,000 to £75,000 depending on skills and experience + car/cash allowance + annual bonus

Permanent Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available

Our Role

The Procurement Operations Manager will have a focus and passion to drive operational performance and efficiency across Procurement Operations (Middle and Back office) teams to support the delivery of great customer service and enhanced value leadership.

Through exceptional communication and influencing stakeholder engagement skills you will liaise with all parts of the P&C team on a regular basis to drive performance and seek ways to continually improve the performance of Procurement Operations (Middle and Back office).

The Procurement Operations Manager will provide updates on key operational metrics and define, evaluate and recommend strategies to deliver continuous improvement whilst ensuring team compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and legislation. The role will often involve leading change initiatives within the Procurement Operations team and across P&C and will require exception consulting skills to influence and affect change.

This role will report direct to the Head of Procurement Operations and will support the drive to become world class, following a period of transformational change.

Key to this role will be the ability to identify opportunities for further efficiency and to lead and implement ongoing improvement projects.

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this you will have demonstrable experience of matrix management, detailed knowledge of procurement policies and procedures, an understanding of the supply chain and how to improve it together with the ability to define and deliver solutions to meet business challenges.

Knowledge of Procurement related systems e.g. Oracle, Emptoris, Achilles Utilities Vendor Database is essential.
