The Role

The Origination Team within Energy Portfolio Management is responsible for the creation of additional value through the implementation of new and innovative products and transaction structures.

As Development Manager, you'll help develop and manage existing relationships with counterparties, identifying opportunities and commercial structures that meet our appetite for growth and financial delivery. You'll achieve this through exploring new markets within the UK and Europe with an initial focus on Power and Gas structured products, green certificates and Power Purchase Agreements. You will also hold responsibility for the creation and management of both competitor analysis and stakeholder management tools.

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role we are looking someone who has experience operating in a similar Business Development or Strategic Partnering role. Knowledge of the Energy market along with power and gas structured products is advantageous, however not essential. Experience in networking, presenting to clients and stakeholder engagement is essential.

Outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as is the ability to network effectively and build strong meaningful relationships, allowing you to negotiate and influence across varying levels of seniority. The ability to quickly understand and communicate complex structures will also be required.

We're looking for someone who has the initiative and drive to overcome internal and external barriers as well as the resilience to see opportunities through to the end.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person who is open to learning and developing within the role.
