SSE is one of the largest and most diverse energy companies in the UK and its core purpose is to provide the energy people need in a reliable and sustainable way. Our business is powered by talented, enthusiastic people in a whole range of roles - supporting, co-ordinating and driving the business to meet our responsibilities and achieve our company goals.

Our brand new Visitor Centre, on the banks of the River Tummel, opened in January 2017. SSE has a wealth of heritage and history waiting to be discovered by the 88,000 people expected to visit each year. The centre features a café, serving fresh local produce to our visitors and providing breath-taking views over Pitlochry Dam and the River Garry. In addition there are two exhibition areas, a shop stocking a range of interesting and relevant souvenirs and gifts and a multi purpose room which can be used as an education centre and meeting room for up to 60 delegates.

We are looking for a Catering Services Assistant with at least REHIS Basic in Food Hygiene (Level 2), and ideally an IOSH qualification, to join our existing catering team and work in this idyllic location. With a genuine willingness to provide a world-class visitor experience, you will pride yourself on your excellent and varied experience in the catering sector. Previous experience of preparing food and home baking in a fast paced kitchen environment, a working knowledge of health, safety and food regulations and cash handling are all essential aspects of this post.

This is an exciting full-time opportunity working within a rolling shift pattern of 5 out of 7 days (typically between 0830 - 1730). You should be willing to work flexibly to cover both weekend and occasional evenings. No two days will be the same and you will encounter plenty of challenges, however, the rewards are also plentiful including a uniform, an employee share scheme and childcare vouchers as well as an excellent basic salary and pension.

As one of the UK's largest and fastest growing energy companies, we take great pride in our work. So, if you want to work in an environment passionate about safety, innovation, teamwork and excellence in everything we do, you'll be proud to be part of the SSE family.

By applying for this position, you are agreeing to the terms noted within our SSE Privacy Notice which can be found on the SSE Website.

Closing dates for applications is Monday 24th September 2018.

The successful candidate will be subject to the Company's verification and vetting process. This includes a basic criminal record check.
