Trainee Financial Planner
Lusona Financial Services are looking for a financial planner to join a well-regarded IFA in Edinburgh, who have a surplus of clients and need an extra pair of hands to help service the workload. The business is looking for someone who they can train and mentor, rather than an experienced consultant, as they have a strong track record of developing people into highly successful financial advisers.
You will work from very well-presented offices in Edinburgh and will stand to inherit a fully formed client base. They are looking to hand off clients to a new consultant to allow the directors to focus on growing the business through their network of professional introducers.
Your first year will be a mix of client facing time where there will be a structured handover of clients, but you will initially still also perform your own research and report writing. The purpose to this is to allow you to learn their advice process from start to finish whilst also being properly introduced to the clients.
The business is open minded to the career path applicants have followed and will be happy to train someone with a background in relevant careers such as paraplanner, investment manager, broker consultant, guidance consultant or as a junior financial planner (no more than 3 years’ experience). It is essential that you are level 4 qualified.
A salary around the £35,000 to £45,000 mark will be offered but you should expect to be earning well beyond this from year two onwards with the firm having an excellent bonus structure.
