Job Description:

Due to business growth a new opportunity has been created for a Contracts Officer, to join a well known organisation within the 3rd sector. This will be an excellent opportunity for a junior contracts specialist looking to enhance their career within a high profile, established organisation.

Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Director Finance and Corporate Services the successful applicant will:

  • Manage existing and new service contracts
  • Conduct negotiations with external bodies (including Local Authorities, Health and Social Care Partnerships, and other private organisations) to ensure the organisation is receiving value for money.
  • Ensure contractual reporting requirements are delivered on time
  • Identify new tender opportunities and supporting services with the tender process
  • Conduct small-scale procurement exercises (less than £100k in value) and supporting the
  • Director of Finance and Corporate Resources on large-scale procurement exercises.

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience working in a similar role and environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Highly organised and strong attention to detail
