The Benefits...

As manager of one of Scotland’s most unique venues, you will receive a fantastic salary and the opportunity for this to increase through performance-related pay. You will be expected to work really hard and with focused goals, but unlike many hospitality organisations, this will not be at the expense of that all-important work-life balance. Yes - the venue is open 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends, but you will be contracted to 37 hours per week. What is more, you will be working for a company who value their employees and operate with a high level of social conscience and educational responsibility.

The Operation...

Situated approximately 15 – 20 mins from Glasgow city centre, with excellent transport and motorway links close by. The venue caters for a variety of needs, including leisure, hospitality, meetings and education. Definitely enough variety to keep you on your toes and ensure no 2 days are the same!

The Job and You...

You will lead an already talented team to deliver 5-star service in an informal and relaxed environment. You should have excellent leadership qualities, high standards of customer service, and a positive attitude and method of working. This will allow you to create an outstanding environment for your enthusiastic team to learn, develop and enjoy coming to work every day. You should have passion and pride for the products/services your guests receive, and this will, in turn, be reflected in an outstanding level of guest satisfaction.

To be considered for the position of General Manager, you should be able to demonstrate a strong background managing within the hospitality/leisure sector. You should have a comprehensive knowledge of sales development alongside experience of budget/financial planning. Ideally, you will be educated to degree or similar level, although not essential. What is vital is having a confident approach, the ability to get across an enthusiastic team approach and the talent to get the best out of people.
