Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 DOE

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Practice Manager to join our Intermediary division based in Edinburgh.

Your primary responsibilities will be to the people in your Practice, and you will be expected to support, challenge and grow the members of your team. You will also be responsible for the provision of people/capability in to scrum squads, so that they can meet the demands of the business.

This is an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced People Management professional with a proven track record in developing and managing individuals and solid working experience in Agile methodologies. You will join Intermediary and become part of a team that are passionate about what they do and in providing the best service to our customers.

The key responsibilities will be:
  • Support, challenge and grow each individual in the Agile Adoption team.
  • For the performance cycle, personal development and talent management of chapter members.
  • To inspire and grown the capability of the team
  • Develop the teams through coaching, mentoring and feedback
  • Recruitment of new Scrum Masters
  • Define and ensure the chapters professional standards and capability are known and embedded.
  • The personal development and talent management of the Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches within the Agile Adoption team.
  • Work alongside squads, product owners, agile coaches and stakeholders to ensure we deliver sufficient and strong capabilities to optimise squad performance.
  • Support team governance processes, controls and adherence to Royal London Cookbook
  • Ensure the team operates within risk appetite and has the appropriate controls in place.
  • Play an integral part in the promotion of the key Royal London behaviours and create an engaging, fulfilling and exciting working environment for everybody to be part of.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience of leading both individuals and teams within a function
  • Experience of conducting formal performance management and personal development in an agile environment
  • Experience of developing competency frameworks
  • Deep experience of the Scrum Master role and understanding of the development path to reach optimum levels of Scrum Mastery
  • Thought Leader in agile adoption and practices with appropriate accreditation
  • Experience of coaching in an Agile environment
  • Ability to apply knowledge and experience to continuous improvement opportunities which deliver business value and customer centric outcomes.
  • Confident individual with proven experience of communicating and influencing with key stakeholders
  • Be able to evidence solid leadership capabilities, with proven experience in inspiring & empowering individuals enabling them to achieve
  • Must be passionate and driven with the aspiration to develop individuals and help the company achieve its vision
